How does feature voting work?
Every donor past and present can submit ideas or vote on any submitted idea. Based on the results of the voting, we will pull the top two ideas and put those to a final vote among all Friends of Pods.
Each feature being voted on will have an estimated level of effort which we will use to fundraise for that release. Not meeting our fundraising goals needed for the development of a specific feature may delay the release or ultimately trigger a new vote for a replacement feature.
Previous releases
- Pods 3.2: WordPress 6.5 integration with Block Bindings API (no vote, exception: compatibility)
- Pods 3.1: Access Rights Security (no vote, exception: security)
- Pods 3.0: Conditional Logic for Fields
- Pods 2.9: Simple Repeatable Fields
Can I fund a specific feature?
If you would really like to see a feature happen and are willing to fund the development yourself, you can contact Scott Kingsley Clark on our Slack or scott@{our main domain} to get more details about how to make that happen. This would be in addition to any ongoing feature votes and planned releases.

Repeatable Field Groups aka Loop Fields
Submitted on: April 4, 2024
This would allow field groups to be repeatable to add multiple instances of values for an entire group of fields.
Address / Map Field
Submitted on: April 4, 2024
This would let you create a new Address field that would let you specify single-line or multiple field Address input for US and international addresses. This field could be displayed as a map using specific Map providers like Google Maps.
